Sláinte is Newfoundland and Labrador’s only whisky bar in the Scottish Gaelic tradition. Located just below Vu Restaurant, Sláinte is a space of a different color. A different mood. A different time, if you please. It’s an elegant room in which to imbibe in a most casually elegant fashion. Socializing in leather chairs and sofas that almost make you order a cognac. And if it wasn’t for that distinctive single malt, you would.
Sláinte is a whisky room for you and your crowd. So when one of your guests takes to the ivories of our baby grand piano, over looking stunning views of the narrows and Signal Hill lit up in all their glory, let them be. Make a request, even. It’s a good time for Tennessee Whisky.

Glass on glass – the clink that’s been heard around the world, you know - as two glasses, or four, or six, come together. That creamy goodness as the fiery liquid warms your palate and heats up the conversation. It’s a bond we share. We whisky lovers.
It’s a one-of-a-kind experience. And here’s how it started.
Not that long ago
Finishing off a fine meal and looking out through the narrows toward Ireland and Scotland, we sat, sipping a dram. Neat, of course. Before long, we were enthusiastic participants in that ancient drinking game. The one that starts with, “You know what we should do?”
